MQ Mental Health – Mental health research charity
Time to Change – Mental health campaign to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health.
Black Mental Health UK – Campaign group working towards ensuring African Caribbean communities are represented with the mental health act.
The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network – A UK directory of Black, Asian and ethnic minority counsellors and psychotherapists. They also run events and training programs to support those embarking on psychotherapy as a profession.
Nasfiyat Intercultural Therapy – London based accessible intercultural psychotherapy and counselling services in over 20 languages
Maya Centre – London based free counselling service for women experiencing mental health issues.
The Awareness Centre – London based counselling service provides multilingual counselling services (over 30 languages) and LGBT+ counselling services.
Kindred Spirits – Southwark (South London) based project providing peer support groups for Black and ethnic minorities experiencing or surviving mental health issues. Services are free and open access. There are also frequent BME women-only support groups
Enfield Saheli – North London based voluntary group run by women for women from Asian descent. This Mental Health Project provides support and information to those experiencing mental health difficulties.
Qalb Centre – Free counselling and holistic support for BAME women, couples and groups
Black Minds Matter UK – Free mental health support for black people
Each Counselling – West London based counselling service providing holistic and culturally sensitive support
Frontline Therapist – Affordable counselling services based in North and East London linking people from BAME communities with BAME therapists
